BREAKING: “Anyone who undermines the state will be punished by death”

In a defiant speech, Gaddafi spoke harshly about the protesters and, on several occasions, threatened them with violence and death while calling for the demonstrators to be crushed. He called upon supporters to round up protesters everywhere.

CNN’s live blog has a general outline of his speech here.

The BBC’s article concerning the speech can be found here.

“Col Gaddafi finishes his speech after an hour-and-a-quarter with the threat to “cleanse Libya house by house” if the protesters don’t surrender.”

The Washington Post have an elaborate 4-page article here.
