Video: Misrata update May 11th

A very short Misrata update was posted earlier today, thanks to Wefaq Libya and FreedomgroupTV and to ChangeInLibya for providing the translation.

Translation:

“Thank god we completely liberated the southern part of Misrata today, including the airport road. The “Sikit” farms nearby were completely liberated and revolutionaries are moving on to other farms to check them too.”

“Revolutionaries are also checking the air academy and thankfully many families used by Gaddafi as hostages were rescued. These families were mostly from Ghiran and nearby areas and some were even from Bani Walid and Zliten”

“Now that the southern part of Misrata is liberated (thank god) we’re waiting for the big victory which is clearing Karareem and Dafniyah areas (west) and thank god for everything!”

Daffy regime is its last few days. What a beautiful end to this man and his family and supporters. All what he tried to built is collapsing before his eyes. Thank you God.

Al Jazeera reports that a rebel spokesman has claimed that you’ve taken control over the city of Zliten, 50 km west of Misrata. Is this report correct?

  3. Karim says:

I am from Morocco and I cry when I see you Mujahideen fight for Allah (swt) and for a free Libya. I wish I could help you and fight besides you, but Insha Allah you will win and Only God (Allah) has the Almighty power.

The Berbers in the west, the Arabs in the East are breaking Ghadaffi into pieces and you freedom fighters (mujahideen) will be Victorious!!! Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar!

  4. Michael says:

I’m happy to hear Misrata – city of the brave – was totally freed from tyrant supporters! I hope these days are the last for regime and soon Libya will be completely free and democratic.

israel today | Libya’s Gaddafi could find refuge in Israel – israel today

I found this article on Facebook , sounds like crap, it is but the thought of is hilarious.

    • J. Shriner says:

“Crap” pretty well sums up that lead-in to the link. There’s no mention of G. refuge in Israel Fredy. Likely someone trying to stir the fire of anti-Israeli feeling among Muslims (some more)…as if there weren’t enough bashing on that account already. It does seem a rather *reactionary* news outlet but that’s to be expected.

  7. Hats off to the brave people of Misurata.I knew Misuratis as good buisness people and highly cultured . But they are warriors too. They fought this battle all alone which resulted in many sacrifices. They bore it all alone. When history of Libyan revolution is written their name will be written in golden letters.May God bless all Libyans against tyrant Gaddafi and his clan.
