Video: Heavy fighting continues in battle for Tripoli

Revolutionaries say they hold 95 per cent of Libya’s capital. President Obama says it is clear that Gaddafi’s rule is over, but the fight in Libya is not.

After the dramatic events today, which saw rebel convoys roll into Libya’s capital Tripoli, the city is still wracked with gunfire – though Channel 4 News’ International Editor Lindsey Hilsum reports “happy shooting” is also taking place and women and children are cheering the revolutionaries.

There are some stupid people that instead of joining the revolution ,they are being faithful to Gaddafi’s Ghost and are continuing defying the will of the Libyan revolutionaries. It may take some days for them to realize that
if they don’t get destroyed first.

It’s over, there is no leader to follow. But the rebels know they want to stabilize Tripoli just like every city and town liberated from the tyrannic government in Libya.

It’s over, these battles are typical when the rebels just gained control of a town. Of course, this is different but the people are fed up. The ones shooting back at the rebels are working for a Ghost, they can’t accept it’s all over. They are not ready to fight back Libya. They lost.

We supported the Libyan revolutionaries. We won big time. In only 6 months.

    Stalemate ?

I see there’ve been no comments from “patriot” in a while. Wonder if he’s holed up in Bab al-Aziziyah with his hero?

Patriot stopped posting about when the Libyans fighters reached Sabrata. I wonder, probably he had to deal with real bullets instead of texts on a forum. It is more difficult to manage.

Thanks Patriot for the clown fun you brought on this forum. Now you are making the demons laugh in hell, while they are kicking your booty, singing zenga zenga. Be reassured, you were only an enemy of paper, so you won’t stay long here. I hope you will learn to live straightforwardly and honestly with others, now.
